INTEGRATING SOUL CARE & EMDR

Rewrite your story at an embodied level

The word trauma has its roots in the Greek word for wound. Many of us carry wounds we've lived with for a long time. These wounds have shaped how we see ourselves and others, and the stories we tell about who we are.

We carry these stories not only in our minds, but in our bodies as they influence our ability to be present and grounded, attuned to ourselves and those around us.

Many of us adapt to our stories by avoiding the pain of the initial wound. We spiritually bypass or prove our self-worth through people-pleasing.

We spend our days in a fog of dissociation or hypervigilance, feeling distracted and disconnected.

Soul care tends to our wounds at a deep level by gently exploring "what happened?" and "who told you?" — questions that are often at the core of the stories we carry.

We’re invited to a life of compassion and curiosity as we begin to see ourselves more fully and accurately, writing a new story about who we are.

EMDR helps in this process by supporting the brain as it reprocesses and integrates your experience, both in mind and body.

It facilitates the processing of difficult emotions and body-based memories associated with the wounds we carry, enabling a new narrative to emerge.

Care for your soul during times of change

Intensives are spacious, welcoming and deeply attuned to your needs.

They are appropriate at a time of threshold, such as a milestone birthday, relationship ending or as you prepare for a significant life event. Many women choose an Intensive following a season of grief, burnout or depletion.

  • Day of reflection during a difficult season

  • Time set aside for tending to grief or burnout

  • As part of a private retreat at a milestone or threshold

  • Processing wounds and preparing for a life event

  • Supportive care for clergy, therapists and healers

Therapy Retreat Intensive

Intensives begin with a 90-minute evaluation/assessment, where we explore your needs with an eye toward the places within you longing for the deepest care.

At this initial appointment, we’ll then schedule your Intensive.

Intensives are held in-person, in 4-hour sessions on Fridays, typically 10am-3pm with an hour break.

In between sessions, you'll be invited to use somatic and narrative practices to deepen your work.

If you'll be traveling for your Intensive, I'm happy to provide recommendations for retreat centers and local accommodations.
